Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Talk to Mirror LLC ("Mirror," "we") handles consumer health data as defined by the Washington My Health My Data Act and Nevada's consumer health data law. It supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to everyone who uses Mirror, wherever you live.

Mirror is not a health service

Mirror is a communication practice tool. It is not therapy, counseling, or medical care, and we do not ask for, and do not want, information about your health. We ask you not to share health information during practice sessions. This notice exists because what you choose to say in a conversation could reveal something about your emotional state or wellbeing, and laws in some states treat that kind of information as consumer health data no matter what the product is for.

Categories of consumer health data we may collect, and why

We do not intentionally collect health data, and we do not use it to profile you, advertise to you, or make decisions about you. To the extent it exists in our systems at all, it is limited to:

• Statements you volunteer during practice sessions that may reveal stress, mood, or emotional wellbeing, as captured in the text transcript of your session and in the coaching feedback generated from it. This data is collected for one purpose: to run your practice session and give you coaching on how you communicated.
• Safety-related signals. If a session suggests someone may be in crisis, the practice partner is designed to stop the role-play and point to crisis resources, as described on our Safety page.

We do not collect biometric identifiers. Your voice is streamed in real time to run the conversation and is not recorded or stored; we create no voiceprint and never use your voice to identify you. We do not collect precise location, genetic data, or reproductive or sexual health information, and we do not infer health conditions from your data.

Sources of this data

One source: you, through what you choose to say during a practice session. We do not buy, license, or infer consumer health data from any other source.

What we share, and with whom

We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it for advertising. The only sharing is with the service providers that make Mirror work, processing it on our instructions:

• AI infrastructure providers that run the live conversation and generate coaching feedback (session audio is processed transiently; transcripts are processed to produce your coaching).
• Cloud hosting and database providers that store your account, transcripts, coaching, and scores.

We have no affiliates, so no affiliate sharing occurs. A current list of our service providers is published in our Privacy Policy.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can:

• Access: confirm whether we hold consumer health data about you and receive a copy of it.
• Withdraw consent: stop our collection and sharing of consumer health data going forward. Because sessions cannot run without processing what you say, withdrawing consent means not using practice sessions; your account otherwise remains yours.
• Delete: have your consumer health data deleted. Deleting your account deletes your transcripts, coaching, and scores.
• Appeal: if we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will have someone other than the original decision-maker review it and respond in writing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us. We will respond without undue delay and in all cases within 45 days (extendable once by 45 days for complex requests, with notice). We will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Changes

If we ever collect or share additional categories of consumer health data beyond what this notice describes, we will update this notice and obtain your affirmative consent first. This notice reflects our current beta practices and may be updated as the service evolves; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
